TTU – Proses hukum terkait dugaan pengeroyokan terhadap jurnalis ViralNTT.com, Felix Nopala, yang melibatkan oknum Kepala Desa Letmafo, Donatus Nesi, terus bergulir. Polres Timor Tengah Utara (TTU), melalui Satuan Reserse Kriminal (Reskrim), secara resmi menggelar pra-rekonstruksi kasus ini pada Selasa, 7 Oktober 2025.
Pra-rekonstruksi dilaksanakan di halaman Unit Reskrim Polres TTU, dihadiri oleh korban, terduga pelaku, serta sejumlah saksi dari kedua belah pihak. Dalam kegiatan tersebut, baik korban maupun pelaku tetap pada keterangan masing-masing, sementara para saksi menegaskan komitmen mereka untuk mendukung proses hukum berdasarkan kesaksian yang telah diberikan.
Kegiatan ini merupakan bagian penting dari tahapan penyidikan untuk memperjelas kronologi kejadian dan memverifikasi keterangan semua pihak sebelum pelaksanaan rekonstruksi penuh di lokasi kejadian.
Latar Belakang Kasus
Seperti yang telah diberitakan sebelumnya, insiden dugaan pengeroyokan terjadi pada Selasa, 2 September 2025, di Desa Letmafo, Kecamatan Insana Tengah, Kabupaten TTU. Felix Nopala, korban dalam kasus ini, menyatakan bahwa dirinya diserang oleh sekelompok orang yang diduga merupakan suruhan dari Kepala Desa Letmafo, Donatus Nesi. Tak lama setelah kejadian, Donatus Nesi bersama beberapa orang lainnya disebut turut melakukan tindakan kekerasan terhadap korban.
Akibat serangan tersebut, Felix mengalami luka memar di pelipis mata kanan, leher, dan punggung. Insiden ini diduga bermula dari upaya investigasi yang dilakukan oleh jurnalis Hendrik, rekan Felix, terkait dugaan penyimpangan Dana Desa di Letmafo.
Proses Hukum Berjalan
Laporan atas insiden ini telah diterima oleh pihak kepolisian dengan nomor LP/288/IX/SPKT/2025/POLRES TTU/POLDA NTT. Visum terhadap korban juga telah dilakukan sebagai bukti awal dalam proses penyelidikan.
Pihak kepolisian menegaskan bahwa proses penyelidikan akan terus berjalan secara profesional dan transparan, dengan tujuan memastikan keadilan bagi semua pihak yang terlibat.
Ancaman Hukuman
Apabila terbukti bersalah, oknum Kepala Desa Letmafo, Donatus Nesi, beserta para pelaku lainnya dapat dijerat dengan Pasal 170 KUHP tentang tindak pidana pengeroyokan. Pasal ini mengatur ancaman hukuman pidana penjara hingga lima tahun.
Kecaman Terhadap Kekerasan pada Jurnalis
Kasus ini kembali mencoreng citra demokrasi dan kebebasan pers di daerah. Berbagai organisasi pers, baik lokal maupun nasional, mendesak aparat penegak hukum untuk mengusut tuntas kasus ini dan memberikan hukuman yang setimpal kepada pelaku jika terbukti bersalah.
Tim redaksi ViralNTT.com menegaskan bahwa kekerasan terhadap jurnalis merupakan bentuk pembungkaman terhadap demokrasi dan tidak dapat dibiarkan. Penegakan hukum yang tegas terhadap kasus ini diharapkan dapat memberikan efek jera bagi siapa pun yang mencoba menghalangi tugas jurnalistik di lapangan.
