DENPASAR, BALI — Perselisihan antara seorang warga negara asing (WNA) asal Prancis berinisial XSAD dan warga lokal berinisial AS di wilayah Denpasar Selatan akhirnya diselesaikan secara damai melalui mediasi.
Penyelesaian tersebut ditempuh dengan pendekatan kekeluargaan dan mengedepankan komunikasi terbuka antara kedua belah pihak. Proses mediasi berlangsung di Polsek Denpasar Selatan pada Rabu (19/8/2026).
Pendekatan personal yang dilakukan I Gede Adi Putra, S.H. alias Gus Adi dari Andi Law Firm & Partners selaku kuasa hukum AS, turut membuka ruang dialog sehingga perselisihan tidak berlanjut ke proses hukum yang lebih panjang.
Komunikasi Bilingual Jadi Kunci Mediasi
Salah satu faktor penting dalam proses perdamaian tersebut adalah kemampuan membangun komunikasi yang dapat dipahami kedua pihak.
Dalam perkara yang melibatkan WNA, perbedaan bahasa dapat menjadi kendala ketika masing-masing pihak menyampaikan kronologi, posisi, maupun keinginan dalam penyelesaian masalah.
Dalam proses ini, komunikasi antara kuasa hukum dan penyidik berjalan baik. Kehadiran kuasa hukum yang mendampingi terlapor serta salah satu penyidik yang mampu berkomunikasi dalam bahasa Inggris membantu memastikan penjelasan hukum dapat dipahami secara lebih jelas.

Dengan komunikasi bilingual, masing-masing pihak dapat memahami duduk persoalan dan menyampaikan iktikad baiknya secara lebih jelas,” demikian keterangan dalam proses pendampingan hukum tersebut.
Pendekatan komunikasi tersebut dinilai membantu mencairkan ketegangan yang sebelumnya muncul. Para pihak kemudian memilih menyelesaikan persoalan secara musyawarah dengan mengedepankan hubungan baik.
Sepakat Berdamai dan Cabut Aduan
Setelah proses mediasi dilakukan, XSAD dan AS yang diketahui memiliki hubungan pertemanan sepakat untuk menyelesaikan persoalan secara kekeluargaan.
AS kemudian memenuhi kewajiban terkait pengembalian barang dan penggantian kerugian sebagaimana kesepakatan para pihak. Sementara XSAD menyatakan kesediaannya mengakhiri persoalan dengan mengajukan Surat Permohonan Pencabutan Aduan Masyarakat.
Aduan tersebut tercatat dalam Dumas No. Reg: Dumas/296/V/2026/SPKT/Polsek Densel.
Penyelesaian melalui musyawarah tersebut menunjukkan bahwa persoalan hukum tidak selalu harus berujung pada proses persidangan. Dalam perkara tertentu, sepanjang memenuhi ketentuan dan terdapat kesepakatan para pihak, penyelesaian yang mengedepankan pemulihan hubungan dapat menjadi pilihan.
