JAKARTA — Kepala Badan Nasional Pencarian dan Pertolongan (Kabasarnas) Marsekal Madya TNI Mohammad Syafii, memberikan apresiasi atas peluncuran buku karya Potensi SAR yang digelar dalam rangkaian Jambore Potensi SAR 2026 di PIK Avenue, Jakarta, Sabtu (2026). Karya tersebut dinilai sebagai kontribusi konkret dalam memperkuat kapasitas pencarian dan pertolongan di Tanah Air.
Dalam sambutannya, Kabasarnas menegaskan bahwa kehadiran buku ini menunjukkan peran strategis Potensi SAR yang tidak hanya bergerak di ranah operasional, tetapi juga dalam pengembangan pengetahuan, pemikiran, dan budaya kesiapsiagaan.
Menurutnya, peningkatan kualitas sumber daya manusia SAR harus dilakukan secara berkelanjutan melalui pelatihan, pengalaman lapangan, serta penguatan literasi kebencanaan.
Buku tersebut ditulis oleh para pegiat dan praktisi dari latar belakang berbeda yang saling melengkapi. Salah satunya, Prof. Dr. Ir. Arief Wibowo, M.Kom, Guru Besar Teknologi untuk Krisis dan Bencana dari Universitas Budi Luhur, yang dikenal aktif mengembangkan pendekatan akademik dan inovasi teknologi dalam penanggulangan krisis.
Selain itu, terdapat Kolonel Kav Agung Nur Cahyono, S.I.P., M.Tr.(Han) dari Tentara Nasional Indonesia Angkatan Darat yang memiliki pengalaman kewilayahan dan kebencanaan. Ia terlibat dalam penguatan kesiapsiagaan serta dukungan TNI dalam penanggulangan bencana sebagai bagian dari Operasi Militer Selain Perang (OMSP).
Penulis lainnya, Agus Wiradi, merupakan pegiat kebencanaan dari Cakrawala Disaster Response. Komunitas tersebut dikenal aktif dalam berbagai operasi SAR dan respons kebencanaan di sejumlah daerah.
Pengalaman lapangan yang dimilikinya memperkaya substansi buku agar tetap aplikatif dan relevan bagi relawan serta Potensi SAR di tingkat komunitas.
Secara substansi, buku ini mengulas manajemen kesiapsiagaan, penguatan kapasitas komunitas, serta peran masyarakat dalam menghadapi situasi yang mengancam keselamatan manusia. Pembahasan mencakup kesiapan menghadapi kecelakaan, kondisi kegawatdaruratan, hingga bencana, sebagai bagian dari upaya memperkuat sistem pencarian dan pertolongan secara nasional.
