DENPASAR — Bali’s internationally acclaimed culinary celebration, the Ubud Food Festival, is set to return for its 11th edition from May 28 to 31, 2026, bringing together leading chefs, culinary artisans, farmers, artists, and food enthusiasts from across Indonesia and abroad.
The annual festival, first launched in 2015, has become one of Southeast Asia’s most anticipated food events. Organizers recorded more than 18,000 visitors during the 2025 edition, alongside participation from 160 culinary industry players representing various regions in Indonesia.

Speaking during a press conference in Denpasar on Wednesday (May 13), Chairman of Yayasan Muda Swari Saraswati, I Ketut Suardana, said Ubud’s global reputation has made it a natural destination for international-scale cultural and culinary events.
According to Suardana, Ubud’s recognition on the world stage dates back long before Indonesia’s independence, tracing its international exposure to the Paris Expo in 1931.
“Since then, the name of Ubud has echoed internationally and attracted people from around the world,” Suardana said.
“As Ubud gained recognition, its culinary heritage also became increasingly known globally,” he added.

This year’s festival will feature a diverse lineup of activities, including cooking demonstrations, food tours, panel discussions, workshops, art performances, and film screenings. The event will take place at Taman Kuliner Ubud.
Among the highlighted collaborations this year is a special appearance by Chef Kieran Morland of Luma Bali, Chef Fernando Sindu of Union Group through its Salira brand, and renowned Indonesian celebrity chef Renatta Moeloek.
Founder and Director of the festival, Janet DeNeefe, said one of the main attractions of this year’s event is the collaboration between Indonesia’s top culinary talents and celebrated chefs from across Asia.
“One of the notable figures joining this year is Australian pastry chef Kate Reid, founder of Lune Croissanterie and a former Formula 1 aerodynamicist,” Janet said.
Reid is also scheduled to serve as co-judge in a competition to select Bali’s best croissant among selected bakeries across the island. The winner of the “Best Croissant in Bali 2026” title will be announced at Indus, Ubud.
