Denpasar — The Indonesian Hotel General Manager Association (IHGMA) Bali Chapter has achieved a remarkable milestone by sweeping all major awards at the 5th IHGMA National Summit (Rakernas V), held from April 16 to 18, 2026, in West Nusa Tenggara.
The national gathering, hosted at Merumatta Senggigi, brought together hospitality leaders from across the country under the theme “A Decade Advancing Indonesian Hospitality.” The event underscored the industry’s evolving role in navigating global challenges while strengthening its contribution to national economic resilience.
The summit was officially opened by Indah Damayanti Putri, who highlighted the importance of collaboration between the hospitality sector and government institutions to support sustainable tourism development. She also expressed appreciation for the trust placed in West Nusa Tenggara as the host of the prestigious forum.

More than a routine annual meeting, Rakernas serves as a strategic platform for shaping organizational direction, strengthening partnerships, and reinforcing IHGMA’s role as a key stakeholder in Indonesia’s tourism ecosystem.
The Bali Chapter stood out prominently during the event, sending the largest delegation with 31 members. Its strong presence reflected a continued commitment to leadership and active participation within the national organization.
The highlight of the summit came during the awards session, where regional chapters were evaluated based on financial governance, membership growth, and program execution. In an exceptional achievement, the Bali Chapter secured all top honors, including Best Financial Performance, Largest Membership, and Best Regional Program Report for 2025.
The chapter recorded a membership of 265 in 2025, further solidifying its position as one of the most active and influential regional bodies within IHGMA. This clean sweep also marks a consecutive win, underscoring the Bali Chapter’s consistency in maintaining high standards of organizational performance.
Chairman for the 2023–2025 term, Komang Artana, attributed the success to strong internal collaboration. He emphasized that the achievement reflects collective effort rather than individual accomplishment, driven by shared commitment and organizational synergy.
Meanwhile, newly elected Chairman Bagus Ngurah expressed optimism about the future, noting that the recognition serves as motivation to further elevate the organization’s impact on the hospitality industry.
Following the conclusion of Rakernas V, the Bali Chapter is set to formalize its new leadership structure and begin implementing strategic programs aimed at strengthening human capital development and enhancing the quality of Indonesia’s hospitality sector.
The sweeping victory not only reinforces Bali’s leadership within IHGMA but also signals its continued influence in shaping the future of Indonesian tourism and hospitality.
