BALI, August 14, 2026 — Six hotel properties came together in Bali for Agent Gathering 2026, an evening designed to strengthen partnerships with travel agents and business partners while showcasing hospitality experiences across several Indonesian destinations.
Held at the Kecak Grand Ballroom, HARRIS Hotel & Residences Sunset Road Bali, the event adopted a “Casino Royale” theme, combining dinner, entertainment, casino-inspired games, and networking in an elegant setting.
The participating properties were HARRIS Hotel & Residences Sunset Road Bali, HARRIS Hotel Ciumbuleuit Bandung, KIMAYA Braga Bandung, KIMAYA Slipi Jakarta, KIMAYA Sudirman Yogyakarta, and KIMAYA Royale Surabaya.

The gathering provided an opportunity for the six properties to introduce their respective facilities, products, and hospitality experiences while strengthening relationships with travel industry partners.
Patrick Legrand, Area General Manager – East Indonesia, said the Casino Royale concept was chosen because the theme represents more than luck and entertainment.

“Casino is always not just a question about luck. It is also about the prestige of the game and how you play it,” Legrand said.
He added that, from a hospitality perspective, the casino theme represents experience, luxury, and enjoyment, which are also important elements in the hotel business.

“For us, casino is a reference of experience, a reference of luxury, and also a reference to enjoying,” he said.
Luxury Goes Beyond Hotel Ratings
Legrand said the group’s understanding of luxury is not limited to the physical product or the number of stars attached to a hotel.

“Luxury for us is not just linked to the product and the rating, like the stars. Luxury for us is also about how the guest is checking out from the hotel and how the experience was,” he said.
According to Legrand, the quality of a hotel experience should ultimately be measured by the impression guests take with them after their stay.
He explained that guests may not necessarily remember details such as the size of a hotel room or swimming pool months after their stay. What can remain more meaningful, he said, is the personal experience created through interactions with hotel staff.

“If you stay in a five- or six-star hotel, six months from now, when you meet your friends and family and talk about where you stayed, you might not remember the size of the pool or the size of the room,” Legrand said.
“But you might remember the personal experience you had with the staff working at the hotel. This is what the HARRIS and KIMAYA properties are providing to guests — a tailored experience for you to remember personally,” he added.
Legrand emphasized that the group considers guest experience to be more valuable than physical dimensions alone.
“From the aspect of HARRIS and KIMAYA, we think that the experience is more valuable compared to the size of the room or the size of the swimming pool,” he said.
Facilities Designed Around Guest Expectations
While emphasizing experience, Legrand said the properties also continue to provide facilities designed to meet guest expectations.
Depending on the property, these include swimming pools, fitness facilities, spas, and accommodation options.
At HARRIS Hotel & Residences Sunset Road Bali, for example, recently renovated apartment-style accommodation is among the facilities available to guests.
“We don’t have a private pool in every hotel or in every room, but at least in all the hotels we have facilities that match the expectations of our guests,” Legrand said.
The Agent Gathering 2026 also highlighted the strategic role of travel agents and business partners in the hospitality sector. Through direct engagement with industry partners, the participating properties aim to strengthen distribution networks, improve collaboration, and create new opportunities across Bali, Bandung, Jakarta, Yogyakarta, and Surabaya.
Legrand expressed appreciation for the continued support of the travel agent community and business partners.
“Partners are an important part of our journey. Tonight is a way for us to show our appreciation for their trust, support, and cooperation,” he said.
“More than just a business relationship, we want to continue building closer relationships and creating new opportunities to grow together in the future,” Legrand added.
The evening concluded with entertainment, games, and networking, leaving participants with opportunities to build new connections and strengthen existing business relationships.
Rather than simply serving as a hospitality gathering, Casino Royale Night underscored the importance of partnership, trust, and guest experience as the hotel industry seeks to build stronger and more sustainable relationships with the travel trade.
