GatraDewata.Com – Bali’s hottest new beachclub played host to house music legend and king of DJs Carl Cox and Eric Powell’s “Mobile Disco” on May 19th, to set the benchmark for ‘party of the year’ on the island of the gods.
Ulu Cliffhouse, Uluwatu’s clifftop Beachclub and Ocean Bar, welcomed over 1500 revellers for Carl and Eric’s first ever Mobile Disco out of Australia, where the duo played back to back for 12 hours of classic funk, house, disco and more.
About the event: Carl & Eric, under the blue skies of Bali, and the awe inducing backdrop of the Indian Ocean, took to the stage at midday on Saturday, and delivered a seminal 12 hour set. Digging deep through their extensive record collections, and picking out their favourite soul, funk and house tracks that they were brought up with and music that has influenced them over the years.
‘Mobile Disco’ began in Melbourne, Australia with 150 of Carl & Eric’s closest friends. It’s gotten bigger each year with more friends & funk/house loving fans coming along for the ride. ‘Mobile Disco’ is now a ‘Must Attend’ national tour playing to sold out boutique shows at some of the most picturesque locations across Australia.
Carl & Eric’s first time overseas, after many years of waiting, they finally found the right location. Ulu Cliffhouse proved the perfect spot, with a full house and packed dance floor from start to finish. Here is to the next one…
